Introduction to 3D data processing with FME

After a short introduction to FME Desktop, the 3D geometry model and the handling of different geometry representations and properties will be explained. In addition to reading and writing CityGML with FME, the BIM related IFC format is presented in detail and trained with practical examples. The focus for this training is on generating valid output from heterogeneous input data and the validation of those files. Furthermore, a close look is set on point cloud data, as well as 3D streaming formats (I3S, Cesium) for a performant web visualization. 

 

During the training, participants will be supervised by an experienced trainer who uses practical exercises to convey the knowledge interactively and is able to answer possible questions.
